The eighth PILOT™ newsletter features an article

Disease and Transplant Program at Fairfax Hospital in Falls
Church, Virginia, which examines the evolving definition of
evidence based medicine and provides a practical guide to using
evidence based medicine to assess therapeutic options for patients
with IPF. Also included is an article by Dr. Charlie Strange,
Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of
South Carolina, which reviews the clinical utility of the various
measures of exercise tolerance in patients and how they can
be applied in clinical practice.

and Kevin O. Leslie, MD, Professor of Pathology at Mayo Clinic
College of Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona. The newsletter highlights
some of the recent data released on the role of biopsy based
on the confidence level of an IPF diagnosis with radiographic
and clinical information. The newsletter also presents two case
