Biopsy proven DIP

Biopsy proven DIP in a 53-year-old smoker. HRCT shows patchy areas of ground-glass opacity associated with fine reticulation in the lower lobes (red arrows). Ground-glass opacity is the most frequent abnormality in patients with DIP, but reticulation may be seen in association with it. Ground-glass opacity is often patchy or subpleural in distribution. A basal predominance is common.
