Posterior Lung Subpleural Sparing

Supine high-resolution CT (HRCT) in a patient with fibrotic nonspecific
interstitial pneumonia (NSIP) proven on lung biopsy. Reticular opacities
and traction bronchiectasis predominate in this patient, although
ground-glass opacity is also visible in the abnormal areas. Subpleural
sparing is visible. At this level, predominance in the posterior
lung is visible (arrow).
