RB-ILD pathology


At higher magnification a terminal bronchiole filled with mucus can be seen on the right (TB) and a mildly inflamed respiratory bronchiole can be seen on the left (RB), surrounded by alveoli filled with pigmented macrophages (m). The interstitium in these areas is slightly thickened by collagen deposition and patchy scant chronic inflammation (black arrows). Click here for lower magnification >>
