Image Library Image 5 CT through the mid lungs, obtained with 5 mm slice thickness, shows reticular opacities in a peribronchial and peripheral distribution. Traction bronchiectasis (arrows) in association with the opacities indicates the presence of fibrosis. Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome is associated with reticular opacities and traction bronchiectasis with a diffuse distribution and involving subpleural and central lung regions. Honeycombing may be seen, but is not visible in this case. Click here for the lower lobe >>
