Image Library Image 8 Supine high-resolution CT (HRCT) in a patient with fibrotic nonspecific interstitial pneumonia (NSIP) proven on lung biopsy. Ground-glass opacity is visible, with a basal predominance. Notice that reticular opacities and traction bronchiectasis (arrows) are associated with the ground-glass opacities. These latter two findings indicate that fibrosis is likely present. Note that the immediate subpleural lung is relatively spared. This appearance suggests NSIP, but is not always present.
