TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity has been planned in accordance with the need to provide pulmonologists and other health care providers with a continuing medical education activity that addresses the best practices for assessment and management of patients with IPF, and practical management guidance for patients and practitioners.

STATEMENT OF NEED

Despite recent progress, there remain distinct challenges in the diagnosis and management of IPF. In addition, the rapid emergence of scientific evidence has prompted a reexamination of standard clinical approaches. As new findings become available, it will become even more important to translate this information into practical, relevant guidance for clinical practice. This education will help pulmonologists and other health care providers assess and manage their patients with IPF.
