There is a mild restrictive ventilatory defect as evidenced by both the reduced TLC and FVC. There is also a component of obstructive lung disease with a FEV₁/FVC ratio that is slightly reduced. The reduced ratio raises suspicion for airway obstruction and the possibility of the patient having combined disease or a disease that can cause both restriction and obstruction.
