Kevin R. Flaherty, MD, MS, is an Associate Professor in the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor. Dr. Flaherty received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in Ohio and his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Indiana University Medical Center and his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Michigan Health System. Dr. Flaherty received a master’s degree in biostatistics and clinical study design at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
Dr. Flaherty has been widely published in scientific publications such as the Journal of Clinical Pathology, Chest, and European Respiratory Journal. He is on the editorial board for Chest and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Flaherty is a reviewer for the American Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Chest, and Journal of Critical Illness. He is a member of various medical organizations, including the American Thoracic Society, the European Respiratory Society, and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Flaherty is also a member of the Program Committee for the Clinical Problems Assembly of the American Thoracic Society.
